What property am I entitled to a divorce? We do not own a home - the husband is a farmer?
It is a total control freak and never allowed me to come on the lease with him. If it were a mortgage I have done otherwise, but lease does not appear to be a real problem. It says I need to find my own house, as has been the holder of the lease of this house where we live together. We have lots of furniture and electronics - DVD players, televisions, computers, etc. Does anyone know how this should normally be treated?
If you have been sharing the lease and bills (and can prove your payments), then you'll get your share of the lease, even if it has his name written on it. Contact your Citizens Advice Bureau as they will be able to tell all your rights and are great people to talk to. You can find their number in your local telephone directory. Good luck and do not be too busy fighting over material things. At the end of the day, what you want most is to get rid of him and start your new life. Sometimes it is not worth the hassle, even if it Dent temporarily not your pride, you'll be glad that you left with as little stress as possible and be the best person.:)
