Step by Step Guide: How to import DVD for Final Cut Pro, DVD in FCP you for other changes?
Step 1. Free Download and Install DVD FCP Converter on your computer
Download Intel version 10.8MB PowerPC version 12.1MB
After the execution of this DVD converter FCP, DVD click Load or Load IFO button, select a DVD file in the dialog that opens, and load it. The information loaded DVD video will be shown in the list of files, source and etc. original length will be displayed in the list of files.
After you add your movie, you can choose the titles or chapters you want to convert by ticking the check boxes before them. While you can copy and convert the whole DVD movie or just convert the selected titles or chapters. Choose convert certain segment of DVD movie using the trim function.
you can click the Trim button to open the Trim window and trim title or chapter by dragging the Start Time slider to set the start time, and dragging the End Time slider to set the time arrival. Then you can rip DVD segments only on Mac.
Step 2: Choose the output format like MOV or MPEG-4 which is compatible with FCP from the profile menu.
Video and audio settings: If you want to customize the output video quality, you can click on 'Settings' button to set the video resolution, rate frame, bit rate, encoder, etc.
Step 3. Start to convert DVD to FCP on Mac
When the output parameters are done, click the button to start converting video to DVD to FCP. You can see the progress of the conversion of DVD video format FCP progress bar at the bottom of the window.
Done! Now import the MOV file in Final Cut Pro assembly.
